In the past five years, DJ Garrity has served three tours of duty as the Sculptor-In-Residence of Mount Rushmore
National Memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota and was
invited to participate in both the 2005/2007
Biennale Internazionale Dell’Arte Contemporanea in the historical Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy.
During
this same period Garrity has conducted lectures from coast-to-coast while dividing his time between Mount
Rushmore in South Dakota, the high desert of Taos, New Mexico and Keem Bay on Achill Island, Ireland. The
artist is currently in residence at Manzanita, a seaside village along the Northwest Coast of Oregon. Garrity is
represented by the Spanish Steps Gallery of Taos, New Mexico.

Keem Bay on Achill Island is off the west coast of Co. Mayo, Ireland. The Island
HOME                 has a history of attracting artists, writers, poets, aging rogues, fiery spirits and
relentless musicians. The works of DJ Garrity inspired Irish America Magazine
to include the artist in their annual selection of "Top 100 Irish Americans".
